About this Program

IDS General Studies Program majors design their own degrees based on their own academic, career, or research interests. It is an alternative for students who are looking into emerging fields of study, or whose interests do not fit neatly within the requirements of a traditional department.

Requirements

What are the requirements to apply for General Studies at 51±¾É«?
Students entering the Bachelor of Science program in General Studies should meet the minimum university admission requirements Undergraduate Admission.

Students entering the BS program in General Studies should meet the minimum university admission requirements Undergraduate Admission.

To be accepted, the student must be in good academic standing (2.00 GPA) and must complete the 9-credit IDS core at 51±¾É«. Upper-level courses must reflect at least three different disciplines.
